There is something about an all white look that is so chic in the summer.  Whether it is an LWD or white separates, white means summer to me for some reason.  Maybe it is because it looks great against a tan?  

I bought this white shirt from Target in the beginning of the summer and it has become my go-to casual white shirt.  I paired it with my favorite (only) pair of white jeans and added a few pops of brown and my trusty leopard belt to add a little visual interest to this outfit.  I know you guys are probably sick of seeing this bag, but I can't help how much I love it.  It goes with everything and I don't feel like I have to worry about it quite as much as I would with a more expensive bag.

I hope you had a great weekend!  Mine was spent catching up on everything after spending Thursday and Friday in NYC for work.  I kind of wish I had one more day before going back to work....

I know I showed this dress on my wish list on Friday, but I'm so in love with it.  The color is so vibrant and the sheer panels add the perfect amount of sex appeal.  It made me feel so feminine and pretty that I couldn't resist twirling in it!  Unfortunately, it seems like everyone else also loved it as this color is sold out.  This dress is worth stalking though in case this color comes back in stock.

Please excuse the silly grin on my face in some of the pictures.  I took these pictures at my aunt and uncle's 50th anniversary party and I couldn't stop smiling.  It was so great to see all of my family and the love that is still there after 50 years!

What I Want - July

I've decided to bring back a feature that I used to do weekly, What I Want - Wednesdays.  My goal is to do it once or twice a month (probably not on Wednesdays so I might need a new name...) to share some of the items I'm craving.

By now, everyone has probably seen a lot of selections from the Nordstrom sale, so I didn't include any of those items, but there are so many great choices! 

I know summer is almost over but I still just want to wear dresses and bright colors (especially since it will be warm for a long time in Atlanta...).  I may or may not have already caved on this gorgeous maxi dress.  I stalked it on the Asos site until this beautiful pink color came in.  I can't even tell you how much I love it!

I just discovered that the Trouve brand at Nordstrom makes shoes! I need another pair of shoes like I need a hole in the head, but these beauties are so pretty and a great price (even though they weren't included in the sale....).

I hope your week is going well!  I was drawn to these shorts as soon as I walked by Loft and tried to wait patiently for them to go on sale.  I love the pattern and how soft they are.  I guess everyone else loved them also as they sold out online quickly!

While I love my heels, this summer I've been loving the sneaker slide.  This leopard version is perfect as it adds a punch to any outfit (and is so comfortable!).  I can't believe these shoes haven't made more appearances on the blog yet!  I wear them almost every weekend and they've made a few appearances on casual Friday at work.  I might have to invest in another pair as it gets cooler.

I hope you had a great weekend!  My weekend was full of family celebrations as my Aunt and Uncle renewed their vows after 50 years of marriage.  Given that they have both had very serious health issues over the past year, this celebration had a lot of extra significance and I was so happy to be there to celebrate with them.  It really put the importance of family and making time for family into perspective.  

I wore this outfit last week when I went to a book signing for one of my favorite authors, Emily Giffin (here).  I forgot my camera (#badblogger) so I don't have any non-Instagram pictures to show.  If it makes you feel any better, I also forgot the book I wanted her to sign...  I told you it was a crazy week at work!  

I love these jeans and live in them on the weekend.  I've wanted to make them a little more office appropriate for a while. This dressy, structured top and black pumps were perfect to make these jeans less casual and more appropriate for the office.  I also took a black blazer to the office in case of any impromptu meetings.  Given the reception these jeans got, I think they will be making many more appearances at the office.

Note: I work in a very fashion forward environment.

TGIF!  I'm keeping it very short tonight as it is well after midnight as I'm writing this.  You may have seen this outfit on my Instagram when I wore it to the Pat Benatar and Rick Springfield concert (hello 80's!) here.  Rick Springfield sings "Jesse's Girl" and Pat Benatar sings "We Belong" in case you are like me and knew the songs, but didn't know who sang them.  Black and white are always a great go-to combo and I love the ruffle detailing on this top.

I hope you had a great weekend!  I had a busy but fun weekend with dinner with friends and the Southern Blog Society Conference coffee talk on Saturday where I was able to finally meet some of the wonderful ladies behind some of the blogs that I love.  The speakers were also very informative and I learned a lot!  You can see what I wore here.

As much as I would love to have an unlimited shopping budget, I don't, so I'm a big fan of remixing pieces in my closet.  I've worn this skirt on the blog when it was colder (here) as I couldn't wait for summer to wear it!  Now that it is warmer, I was excited to wear it again.  Since it is a very sexy skirt, I wanted to tone it down a little with one of my trusty t-shirts.  Of course, I had to add my statement necklace and bracelets, but it was perfect for dinner and drinks!

TGIF!  Some of you guys got a sneak peak of this post when I accidentally published it on Wednesday!  I'm so used to writing these posts the night before they go live, that I automatically scheduled it for the next day instead of Friday.  So much for trying to get ahead...  Thank you to those of you who wrote such nice comments on the post.  Unfortunately, I had to delete them since I couldn't figure out how to un-publish the post (which I figured out in a quick Google search later that day)...

I've read so much about the Golden Hour for taking pictures, so we wanted to play around with it.  I think we caught the tail end of it, but the light was absolutely beautiful.  I hope you like how the pictures turned out.

What are you guys up to this weekend?  I'm looking forward to watching the World Cup final, attending part of the Southern Blog Society Conference, and trying to get a little rest.  That sounds like a lot just writing it!
