Black, White, and Grey

Shoes: Brian Atwood, old, other colors
Bag: Marc Jacobs via Nordstrom Rack, other colors
Necklace: Boutique find
Earrings: Banana Republic, old, similar

I still just can't get enough black and white.  I saw this dress online and was very excited to find it on sale (50% off!) on Black Friday at Belk's.  My mom and I have our Black Friday tradition where we are at the mall by 8AM to hit the Saks sale and then we hit a few other stores before recovering over a delicious, leisurely lunch.

As soon as I tried this dress on, I knew it was a winner (especially since I got several compliments when I stepped out of the dressing room!).  It very comfortable and flattering and it has pockets, which are always a winner for me.  I kept my accessories pretty neutral, but then let the bag and scarf serve as a pop of color.  This will be a go to work look in the new year!

Have a great weekend!

What I Want... Holiday Gifts

1/2/3/4/5 (silver version-on sale!)/6/7

MOM, STOP READING RIGHT NOW!! :)

I’m a horrible procrastinator, so of course I haven’t started my holiday shopping.  Thankfully, I’m not buying for a lot of people, mainly family this year.  My friends and I tend to take each other out to dinner so we get to have a great company and great food(did I mention I’m a foodie?).  The guys in my family all want tech gifts and they have to give me a list since I'm a techno idiot...

My mom is the most difficult person to buy for and I normally buy her a few smaller gifts, instead of one big gift.  Mom is always adding small things to update her wardrobe.  She loves everything leopard (must be where I got it!) and this leopard clutch is a great break from her normal black bags.  She also loves to rock a statement necklace and I love the reddish-pink jewels in this version from J. Crew.  She wears a lot of black (are you sensing a trend?)  and the jewels on this necklace would provide a great pop of color.  My Mom is also a tea fiend, so a monogrammed cup with her initial would be a cute way for her to enjoy her morning cup(s) of tea.  Thankfully, I still have a few days before the shipping deadlines, so I can still get my shopping done without having to go to the mall!

Have a great day!

Bright Flash

Jacket: Gap (similar)
Top: J. Crew, old
Pants: Theory
Bag: Marc Jacobs, old
Shoes: Brian Atwood, old
Necklace: Boutique find
Bracelets: Bauble Bar (here, here, here)

I hope you had a great weekend!  It was very cold (for Atlanta) this weekend so I apologize in advance for the picture quality.  I was frozen after just a few snaps!  I wanted to share my outfit from Friday though.  I bought this coat a while ago in an effort to incorporate more color into my wardrobe.  We all know my love of black and white....  It is very bright, even brighter in person, so I kept the rest of the outfit neutral to let the jacket shine bright (like a diamond!)  Thankfully, the coat is also very warm!  I think it will be in frequent rotation for the rest of the winter.

Have a great Monday!

Dressing up the Sweatshirt

Top: Zara
Jeans: Rag & Bone
Flats: Zara
Purse: Marc Jacobs via Nordstrom Rack
Necklace: Bauble Bar, old
Earrings: Boutique find, similar

Do you ever buy a piece of clothing that instantly becomes one of your favorite items?  I'm almost ashamed to admit how many times I've worn this sweater since I bought it.  I normally shy away from gray as it isn't my best color, but I loved the lace insets on this sweater.  They take it from day (above) to night (with a great leather skirt or jeans and heels).  It is also one of the softest sweaters I own!  I added a few pops of color, especially around my face to brighten the gray.  Then, I was ready to brave  the mall and get started on my Christmas shopping (for others, I've done enough damage for myself...).

Have a great weekend!

What I Want... Holiday Looks

1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9

It's funny that this post is about holiday parties, because I wasn't in the holiday mood until my company and family holiday parties this past weekend.  I've been so consumed with work and I almost didn't go to the company holiday party. Somehow, pulling my holiday party outfit together and hanging out with my friends from work put me in the holiday spirit.  Helping to decorate my parents 12 ft tree probably didn't hurt either!

As you can tell, I'm loving feathers and sequins (and lace) for the holidays.  I would wear this Milly dress to a fancier party with a great pair of statement earrings. I love my white tuxedo jacket (see my last outfit post) and would wear this one over this sparkly sequin dress, which is beautiful but a bit bare.  I've also always wanted to try a jumpsuit and these are two sexy ones (here, here) that aren't too over the top.  I think this Loft belt would be great with them also!

What will you be wearing to your holiday parties?

And we're back!! Holiday Party Time

Jacket - Aqua (similar)
Top - BB Dakota
Pants - Milly
Shoes - Jean Michel Cazabat
Earrings - local boutique find
Bracelets - Bauble Bar (from top - here, sold out, here, here)

I'm so excited to finally be back up and blogging! I've finally sorted out my computer issues (after managing to break 2 computers in 2 weeks....). Fingers crossed, we can stay back up.

It's holiday party time!  My company holiday party was Friday night and the attire for the party was festive (??) which I learned can mean anything from dressy casual to cocktail... While I have no problem being overdressed :), it was rainy and gross out so I opted against a dress.

These pants were a Black Friday/Thursday score (50% off!!) and I love them.   You may recognize them from a past Wednesday wishlist (and maybe the shirt also...).  I'm obsessed with all things leather so the leather waistband is right up my alley and the slouchy fit is perfect against the feminine lace top.  Add some sparkly jewels, my tuxedo jacket and I was ready to go dance the night away with my co-workers!

I hope your week is off to a great start!
